Healthy Interactions co-develops each Conversation Map® program with the help of leading health and disease associations, medical societies and patient organizations. By contributing their expertise to the content of Conversation Map programs, associations help ensure that participants learn the most accurate, up-to-date information that is most relevant to their health and to their lives. The U.S. Diabetes Conversation Map program was launched in June of 2007. To date, more than 13,000 licensed
healthcare professionals are facilitating the program, and more than two million people living with diabetes have
participated. In response to the success of the initial program, the ADA and Healthy Interactions has continued to
collaborate in the development of a Spanish-language Diabetes Conversation Map program that meets the needs
of Spanish-speaking participants in the United States.
Since its launch in November of 2005, the Canadian Diabetes Conversation Map program has been adopted
by more than 65 percent of all diabetes education centers in Canada.
In November of 2007, Diabetes UK and Healthy Interactions announced a partnership to develop a Diabetes
Conversation Map program for people living with diabetes in the United Kingdom.
As of September 2008, IDF Europe and Healthy Interactions had developed and implemented Diabetes
Conversation Map programs for several European countries. Currently, IDF International and Healthy
Interactions are developing custom Diabetes Conversation Map programs for 25 other countries. By end
of 2009, the IDF partnership will have developed and launched Conversation Map programs for 40 countries
worldwide. Respiratory
The ATS is currently working with Healthy Interactions to develop Conversation Map programs for people living
with asthma, COPD and smoking cessation. The programs are scheduled to launch in the United States by the end of 2009.
Children's Health
The NASN and Healthy Interactions co-developed the Healthy Kids Conversation Map program.
The program is being distributed in schools as a way to educate and engage students with the health
issues affecting them today. Neurological Disorders
In August of 2009, EFNA and Healthy Interactions entered into a multi-year partnership to develop Conversation Map programs for people living with neurological diseases. Back to top
The Parkinson’s Disease Society is currently working with Healthy Interactions to create a Conversation Map program for people living with Parkinson’s disease in the United Kingdom. Back to top Mental Health
CMHA, Ontario is collaborating with Healthy Interactions to create a Conversation Map program for people living with mental illnesses in Canada. The program will launch by the end of 2009. Back to top Obesity
