How does Personal Health Engagement® help the healthcare professionals that sponsor companies serve?

People who achieve Personal Health Engagement have the knowledge and motivation they need to better manage and improve their own health. When they seek care, they know how to effectively communicate with the healthcare professionals they see. As a result, healthcare professionals can build more productive relationships with patients who have achieved Personal Health Engagement. Because the patient better understands his or her health, healthcare professionals get the information they need to provide the best care. Back to top

What role do sponsor companies play in the development and implementation of Conversation Map programs?

Sponsors provide financial support for the development and implementation of Conversation Map programs. Their brands and identities appear on the packaging of Conversation Map education tools, but the companies are in no way involved in program development or the content of facilitator training sessions. There are no product references, promotions or endorsements included in Conversation Map sessions.

Some companies choose to have representatives hand-deliver the Conversation Map education tools. In this case, representatives are present at the end of facilitator training sessions to personally distribute the Conversation Map education tools to new facilitators. Back to top

What sets Conversation Map programs apart from traditional
health-education methods?

Conversation Map programs do more than educate. Through face-to-face, small-group sessions, participants learn the health information most relevant to them and relate it to their own lives and experiences. They then create a workable plan for putting that information into practice. By engaging participants in their own health, Conversation Map programs make it easier for participants to achieve Personal Health Engagement. Back to top
