ABU DHABI - The National Health
Insurance Company- Daman -hosted a seminar on Saturday to support
patients with diabetes as they prepare for Ramadan.
Held
under the organisation’s innovative Disease Management Program, the
event was hosted by Dr. Alfons Grabosch, Daman’s Health Support Manager
along with his team of dedicated health coaches and educators, who
shared expert advice on maintaining healthy eating habits during the
holy month.
Event
participants also had the opportunity to take part in guided diabetes
Conversation Maps - a learning tool to help diabetics internalize their
disease in an interactive verbal and visual experience.
Commenting
on the success of the event, Dr. Grabosch said: “We are delighted with
the turnout this evening and are pleased to see so many people taking an
interest in their health, especially as we prepare for Ramadan. These
workshops are an excellent platform to reach out to those in need, and
what better time to do so than as we prepare for the Holy Month.”
