IDF Europe is pleased to inform you that we are able to offer another package of educational tools. The Webcast of the English Master Class of the IDF Educational Modules, as presented during our Annual Meeting in Dublin 2007, is now available in the IDF Intranet under http://www.idf-lectures.org. This activity is aiming at diabetes educators and nurses, either for their own update or for training of other practice personnel.
An innovative tool for patient education, also supported by IDF Europe, is the so called Conversation Maps™ which was developed in partnership between Eli Lilly and Healthy Interactions (Healthyi). The program is designed to better engage people with diabetes - through their interactions with health care professionals and their peers – to learn about behaviour change and improved diabetes self management.
Conversation Map™ Tools use large 1 by 2 meter images, question cards, facts and information, to provide a unique learning experience for groups of people with diabetes. In particular inspiring group discussions are fostered.
